High-ticket appointment setter & closer

Start with a conversation. Earn the next step.

I'm Sam. I bring direct sales experience, over nine years in hospitality, and a background in technology to the table.

My approach is simple: understand the person first, find out whether there's a genuine fit, and make the next step feel natural—not forced. I'm interested in working with high-ticket coaching, mentorship, and education teams.

Sales experience at a glance

I've had the conversations. I've made the sales.

Before pursuing high-ticket coaching and education opportunities, I spent six months in direct life-insurance sales, learning about prospects' needs and recommending appropriate coverage.

What the numbers don't show

What stayed with me was how much the conversation mattered—asking the right questions, understanding priorities, and helping someone evaluate an important decision.

6% is a lead-to-policy conversion rate, not a high-ticket closing rate. Coverage written refers to policy face value, not revenue.

How I can contribute

Where I fit into your sales process.

I'm interested in both appointment setting and closing. The responsibilities are different, but my approach stays the same: understand the person, find out whether there's a genuine fit, and help move the conversation forward.

Appointment setting

Make the first conversation worth having.

A booked call only matters if it's the right conversation. I'd focus on understanding what sparked someone's interest, what they're hoping to accomplish, and whether the offer makes sense for them.

When there's a fit, I'd qualify thoughtfully, set clear expectations, and pass along the context the closer needs.

  • Personalized outreach and follow-up
  • Interest and readiness qualification
  • Appointment booking and organized handoffs
Closing

Help people reach a clear decision.

I don't see closing as convincing someone to buy regardless of fit. I see it as helping them understand their options, work through genuine questions, and decide whether moving forward makes sense.

I'd bring the needs-based approach I used in insurance sales: listen, make relevant recommendations, and ask for a decision without unnecessary pressure.

  • Consultative discovery and needs assessment
  • Clear, relevant offer recommendations
  • Direct next steps and respectful follow-up

Experience beyond direct sales

The experience behind how I work.

I've worked directly with customers, supported teams through demanding service environments, and built technical solutions for clients. Each experience shaped how I communicate, solve problems, and follow through.

Relationships that last.

Premium hospitality · XOXO Sushi Bar

At XOXO, I built a regular clientele, including guests who specifically requested bar seating. Remembering preferences and making thoughtful recommendations helped create the kind of experience people wanted to return for.

Leadership under pressure.

STK Steakhouse & XOXO Sushi Bar

I was promoted to Bar Lead at STK Boston, helping coordinate six bartenders and four barbacks. At XOXO, I supported training, service coordination, and guest recovery during high-volume services of roughly 70–120 covers.

Systems thinking.

Software development & Konvertics

I have over 2.5 years of software development experience. My pre-launch B2B acquisition project, Konvertics, has involved designing workflows for prospecting, qualification, outreach, appointment setting, and client onboarding.

My sales philosophy

An honest conversation beats a forced yes.

I don't think people need another salesperson talking at them. They need someone who asks good questions, actually listens, and helps them understand their options.

My approach is conversational and permission-based. I want to understand what someone's trying to accomplish, what's holding them back, and whether an offer genuinely makes sense for their situation.

That doesn't mean avoiding the close. If there's a fit, I'm comfortable recommending a next step and asking for a decision. If there isn't, I'd rather be upfront than push someone toward the wrong choice.

A little about me

Different experiences. One common thread.

I've worked in a few different worlds: hospitality, insurance sales, and software development. On paper, they might seem unrelated, but they've shaped how I approach people and problems.

Hospitality taught me how to read the room, build relationships, and stay composed when things get busy. Insurance gave me direct experience understanding someone's needs, recommending solutions, and helping them make an important purchasing decision.

Software development added another perspective: understanding the systems behind the work, communicating with different kinds of people, and appreciating how much good organization matters.

I'm now looking to bring those experiences together with coaching, mentorship, and education teams that care about both results and how they treat their clients.
